About Us

In addition to our physical campuses, the Penn Hills School District provides an intriguing option for students who are interested in attending classes in an online environment or a blended learning format.  Students choosing a blended approach can take advantage of a schedule that incorporates both in-person and on-line instruction, taking advantage of specialized educational opportunities such as Forbes Road Career and Technical Center.

Penn Hills School District has partnered with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and Waterfront Learning to provide Penn Hills students with the opportunity to participate in a full-time cyber program. Penn Hills Cyber Academy offers a variety of possibilities to students in grades 7 through 12. Enrollment is contingent on an agreement between the school district and the family of the student.  This program allows students to complete schoolwork at home utilizing online curriculum, while also allowing Cyber Academy students to engage in district-sponsored activities such as athletics and extracurriculars. Each Penn Hills Cyber Academy student who successfully completes all program requirements will be issued a Penn Hills High School diploma and will be allowed to participate in Penn Hills High School commencement exercises alongside their peers.
