Band

Band is for students in grade 4 and 5.  Band instruments include: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion (drums and xylophone).  Registration for the band program starts at the beginning of the school year and runs through the end of September.    The band performs in many concerts during the school year for the public and for the students at school.  Families must provide an instrument for their child to participate in the program.

6th Grade Music Scheduling Form

All students entering 6th grade at Linton Middle school next year that want to participate in Band, Orchestra or Chorus must fill out and turn in a scheduling form by the end of the 2024-2025 school year.  

Please fill out the form and return it to your child's music teacher as soon as possible

Extended School Year (ESY) Begins Monday, June 23

ESY services for students who qualify through their IEP will begin on Monday, June 23, 2025, and run Monday through Thursday to support continued learning and skill development over the summer. 

Extended School Year Program Embraces Olympic Theme

This summer's extended school year (ESY) program in the Penn Hills School District took on an exciting new change by incorporating an Olympic theme to make the program more engaging for students. Traditionally, the ESY program runs Monday through Thursday for four weeks, but this year Fridays were included to accommodate themed activities.
