The Pennsylvania Department of Education placed the District on Financial Watch Status on June 5, 2017, in accordance with section 611-A of the Publich School Code of 1949, 24 P.S. 6-611-A. The district entered Financial Recovery Status on January 16, 2019, as defined by section 621-A of the Public School Code of 1949 and section 18.5 of the Pennsylvania Code, 24 P.S. 6-621-A; 22 Pa. Code 18.5.
Dr. Daniel Matsook, former superintendent of the Central Valley School District and assistant superintendent of the Penn Hills School District, was appointed as the district's Financial Recovery Officer.
The LMS PTA is excited to invite students to the upcoming Scholastic Book Fair! We are excited to have our first Scholastic Book Fair of this school year to give students the opportunity to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. Annual Title I Fall Informational Meeting
Penn Hills Elementary parents/guardians and other adults interested in learning more about our School-Wide Title I Program are welcome to join Mrs. Brown, Building Principal, on Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 6-7:30 PM.
I hope you are well. As I'm sure you are already aware, earlier this summer district superintendent Dr. Nancy Hines announced her retirement effective October 2023. As a result, the Penn Hills Board of School Directors has contracted with the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) to search for a new superintendent. This process is already underway.
The Linton Middle School PTA is looking for new members to join its team! We are a group of parents, teachers, and community members who work together to support our school and its students. We organize events, raise funds, and advocate for our school's needs.
