Food Service

Students that are healthy tend to perform better in school. The relationship between eating habits and healthy behaviors and academic success is supported by research. As part of the Community Eligibility Program, Penn Hills School District and The Nutrition Group are pleased to provide every student with a breakfast and lunch that is not only wholesome but also full of essential nutrients and flavorful options. Each school also provides pupils with the opportunity to purchase daily nutritious snacks for a nominal fee.

Community-Based Reform Initiatives

Dr. Nancy Hines, Superintendent, addresses the board about community-based reform efforts being undertaken by the District in collaboration with community-based agencies and groups.

Class of 2023 Commencement

Commencement exercises for the Class of 2023 will be held on June 9, 2023 at 6:30 PM at Yuhas-McGinley Stadium. Beginning at 6:15 p.m., the event will be broadcast live on phsd.org. 


 

Athletics and Activities Presentation

Stephanie Strauss, the district athletic director, gave a presentation to the board of directors about Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), college recruitment, and public relations during the regular voting meeting in April.
