Superintendent

With great excitement, I welcome you to a new era here in the Penn Hills School District as we enter the second half of the 2023-24 school year. It is a pleasure to address you for the first time at PHSD as Superintendent. Serving your storied community in this capacity is an extreme honor. A hallmark of this rich community is connection. As allies in education embarking on a journey in excellence, we will see the District's future full of scholars as thinkers, doers, and leaders prepared for the challenges ahead.

Passion has been the cornerstone of my 22 years in public education. I have served varied roles throughout my tenure from special education teacher, to central office administrator overseeing pupil and special services. I will use these skills in conjunction with the great things already happening at Penn Hills to increase achievement and scholar outcomes.

The promise of a new beginning has a foundation in dedication. In our resolve to the mission and vision, we will amplify student-centered learning, promote a culture of respect, and develop responsibility and resilience among our scholars. PHSD will hold all parties to the highest of expectations as we know the boundless capabilities the Penn Hills staff and students possess. As a community, we commit to authentic achievement through determined accountability.

Proudly, diversity is the hallmark of our community. At the Penn Hills School District, we embrace inclusion, and celebrate our students' uniqueness. In recognizing that each scholar has a varied path to success, we provide enhanced programs tailored to individual goals and personal outcomes. Assuring equity in our K-12 programs of study aligns with meaningful pathways to purpose. Attainment for all of our Indians is curated through intentional, equitable education. The Penn Hills School District strives to promote Excellence for Every Scholar, Everyday!
