Building a Better Tomorrow: Summer Construction Projects Completed Across the District
Brian Brown

As the 2025-2026 school year approaches, we’re proud to announce that our summer construction projects are officially complete and our schools are looking better than ever!

At Linton, students and staff will notice big improvements inside and out. The small pool now features a brand-new liner, and has been filled, inspected and is ready for use.

In the boiler room, two new boilers have been successfully installed, with two more on the way later this year. The space also received new domestic water heaters, waterproofing, and updated drainage systems, all designed to boost efficiency and reliability.

Inside the classrooms, old uni-vents and bookshelves have been replaced with new, modern units and shelving. New windows now let in more natural light, and fresh flooring gives each room a clean, updated look.

Our exterior door replacement project at Linton is complete, enhancing both safety and appearance. In the lobby, sleek new lighting upgrades brighten the space and offer a warm welcome to students, staff and visitors.

Outside, Linton's parking lots have been freshly paved, improving accessibility and providing a smooth, safe surface for drivers and pedestrians alike.

Across the district, comfort has been a top priority. New chillers have been installed at Penn Hills High School and Penn Hills Elementary, ensuring cool, comfortable learning environments, especially during the warmer months.

"A key objective of the school district’s summer projects was to create a more comfortable and effective learning environment for students by upgrading classroom lighting and installing new HVAC systems," Michael Reposky, Director of Plant Services, said.

These upgrades are more than just maintenance. They’re a commitment to our students, staff and community. We’re creating schools that are not only safer and more efficient, but also more inspiring places to learn and grow.

Thank you to everyone who helped make these improvements possible. Here's to a great school year ahead!
