Congratulations to senior Zach Burkovich on his outstanding performance at the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All-East Conference this past weekend in Hartford, Connecticut. Zach also made history by becoming the first Penn Hills student ever to be selected for an All-East Ensemble!
Zach was chosen to sing in the Mixed Choir. He was one of the 180 students selected from last year's All-State Festivals to participate in this prestigious biannual event.
In his section, Zach was one of only 20 students selected from across 11 East Coast states, ranging from Maryland to Maine. The ensemble spent three days in rehearsal under the direction of Dr. Anton Armstrong, the acclaimed conductor of the St. Olaf Choir.
Zach's talent, dedication, and hard work have paid off and will continue to guide him as he begins his studies in Music Education and Voice this fall.
Way to go, Zach!
