Free After-school Meal Program Launches in Penn Hills School District
The Penn Hills School District, in collaboration with The Nutrition Group, is excited to announce the launch of a new initiative aimed at providing free afterschool meals to school-age children within the community. This program is part of a broader effort to support the nutritional needs of children and ensure they have access to healthy meals outside of regular school hours.
Program Details

Eligibility: The program is open to all school-age children (pre-K through 12th grade) who are 18 years old or younger at the start of the 2023/2024 school year. Eligible participants include those involved in regularly scheduled, organized, and structured afterschool activities in a supervised environment. Activities may include tutoring sessions, athletics, music or drama classes, and other educational or enrichment programs.

- Penn Hills Senior High School
- Linton Middle School
- Penn Hills Elementary School
Meals will be provided in a safe, welcoming environment where children can engage in beneficial activities and enjoy nutritious, satisfying food.
