Penn Hills School District Announces Key Leadership Appointments at Elementary School and District Levels

October 7, 2024 – Penn Hills – The Penn Hills School District Board of School Directors has appointed Mrs. Kristin Brown as Director of Pupil Services and Mr. Christopher Cence as Building Principal of Penn Hills Elementary School (PHES). 

These leadership appointments were made at the board meeting on Wednesday, September 25. During that meeting, Dr. Christine White Taylor was named Interim Director of Pupil Services. 

Upon Mrs. Brown's transition to the Director of Pupil Services role, Mr. Cence will assume Mrs. Brown's previous duties as the Building Principal of Penn Hills Elementary School. Supporting Mr. Cence will be Associate Principals Mr. Nicholas DiCarolis and Mr. Patrick Gavin. An additional Associate Principal will be hired to take over Mr. Cence's former role as Associate Principal for Kindergarten through 1st grade. 

Superintendent Dr. John Mozzocio expressed his enthusiasm for these changes, stating, "I'm excited about this administrative transition and am confident that both Mrs. Brown and Mr. Cence will thrive in their new positions. We also look forward to welcoming another Associate Principal to the Penn Hills Elementary team."
