Penn Hills High School Homecoming Dance 2024

 

All Penn Hills High School students are invited to the "A Night Among the Stars" Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The dance will be held in the Penn Hills High School Cafeteria. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.

Purchasing Tickets:

  • To attend, students and their parent/guardian must sign the Safe-Dance contract, as this is a school-sponsored event.
  • If a student is bringing a non-Penn Hills student, this person will need to complete the Guest Request form. The form can be picked up in the main office. You must attach or paste/tape a copy of your guest's photo ID. Make sure to have this completed before purchasing tickets. Do not wait until the last day. guests must also complete the Safe-Dance contract. 
  • Students must have the completed forms and their student ID in order to purchase tickets. No tickets will be sold if the paperwork is incomplete!
  • The maximum guest age is 20, but the Penn Hills School District reserves the right to deny entry after a background check and/or speaking with a character reference. The minimum guest grade level is 9th. 
  • All tickets will be sold during lunches, Monday, October 7 - Thursday, October 10. The cost is $25 per person. Only CASH will be accepted. NO tickets will be sold after lunch on Thursday - no exceptions, so please be prepared. 
  • Forbes PM students can purchase tickets when they return from Forbes in the afternoon on Monday, October 7, and Thursday, October 10.
  • Penn Hills Cyber and Synchronous students can purchase tickets from Mrs. Bonnet at the attendance office window, October 7 to October 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Attending the Dance:

  • Students will be required to have their ticket and school ID to enter the dance. Guests must have a photo ID. Tickets must be purchased in advance; no tickets will be sold at the door. 
  • Students will enter and exit at the front of the building. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. Do not be late
  • Attendees will not be permitted to leave the dance until 9:45 p.m.
  • No pictures will be taken at the high school by parents. Please plan group pictures at another location. There will be a professional photographer to take pictures at the dance.
  • The dress code is semi-formal; keep it classy and tasteful (no jeans, T-shirts, sweats, hoodies).
  • A coat check will be available. Do not leave items unattended at the dance. 
  • When students enter, bags will be checked by security and students will proceed through a metal detector. 
  • We reserve the right to deny tickets and entry to any student who has received an out-of-school suspension for 3 or more days. If a suspension of 3 or more days is assigned after the ticket sale, there will not be a refund for the ticket. 
  • Tobacco, alcohol, drugs, vapes, and weapons are not permitted on school property or to be used.
