Camp NAWIC: Free Girls in Construction Summer Camp Opportunity
Students entering grades 8-12 are invited to apply for Camp NAWIC: Girls in Construction, a free summer camp taking place June 22-26, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the IBEW Local 5 Apprenticeship Training Center in Pittsburgh.
This hands-on experience introduces students to careers in the construction trades, including electrical work, carpentry, operating engineering, bricklaying, ironworking, and more. Participants will learn directly from women in the field and gain valuable skills in a supportive environment.
